Looking into getting a 1987 Daytona so I thought i would join up here to ask my questions and express my concerns.

My name I am 24 and want to find a reliable daily driver that I can have fun with.
I have found a 1987 Daytona Shelby Z for sale for $400 in my area that I am going to look at today. The listing states the car has a "bad turbo" and emits large volumes of white/blue smoke consistantly after a minute or so of idling.

I am going to actually put eyes on the car today (7/7/2012) around 4pm PST after work.
I am thinking because of the smoke it may very well just be oil getting into the turbo itself and I may only need to do a gasket job on the Turbo.

I have never worked on a Turbo before and any advice is helpful!
Also I am having a hell of a time Googling replacement turbos whether rebuilt or new.

Looking forward to being a member of the dodgeforum.com community!
