2004 Dakota Air-Conditioning Mystery
About a month ago the A/C suddenly died. Not only the A/C, I can't get heat or any kind of blown air. I suspect the fan is faulty. I checked the fuses and they seem fine. I then tried refilling the freon (or whatever the refrigerant is that replaced freon).
When I tried to replace the refrigerant it was far from low. It was up around the 80 psi mark. So I was wondering if that is normal for the 2004 V8 Dakota or if maybe the previous owner over pressurized the system.
Also, what do you suppose could be the problem?
Thanks,
-Leon

I'm no tech, but I'll start the line of questioning...
Is your fan spinning, blowing un-conditioned (hot or cold) through the vents?
I'm not familiar with the Daks, but in my 06 Ram, I have a resistor pack under the glovebox that if one channel is burnt, it won't work on that setting.
