Default Help

Hello everyone, i know nothing about mechanics, have an older brother who helped me and my family out buy giving me a 1989 Dodge Dakota 3.9 about three years ago i told him i would never get rid of it and thats a fact. I want a llimited slip differential in it. I know that it has a 81/4 rear end and 3.55 in it and run wonderfully but i want more pulling power, before i go spending money and get taken advantage of. Is what i have already a limited slip differential and if not what should i do?

Welcome to DF

Raise the back end and rotate the tires by hand, does both rear tires spin in the same direction? If they do, you have LSD. (Limited Slip Differential)
