I own a 1982 Ram D150, slant 6 and 8ft bed I have just retired, use it for show only. I recently bought a 2008 Ram 1500 with 4.7L V8 4X4 crew cab 65,000mi to use as every day driver. Anyone aware of any problems I should be looking out for in this model year truck. Should I continue with 3,000 mi oil changes? Compared to my 82, it's a beast! I love it! It idles so smoothly I thought it stalled out on me while sitting at a red light! Comments and advice please?

Just do the oil changes on a regular bases, And you should be okay. Slant 6 motor, I haven't seen the 225 slant 6 in years.
