Hey, figured I should stop here and introduce myself real quick.
My name is Garry, I live just north of Detroit, I have two daughters 11&13 (that I am fiercely protective of), been married for almost 18 years to my best friend, spent 10 great years in the Navy (IYAOYAS!!), and I run a prototype machine shop for an engine development company......
We build engines for Cadillac Racing, Camaros in Rolex Grand Am GT, various overseas race teams, the LMP-C series, and the private enthusiast. For a gearhead, it's a dream job!!!
We have a 23' Sea Ray, and most weekends you can find us out on Lake St Clair enjoying the sun, friends, family, and a few cold ones.
I recently bought a used Ram 1500 5.2L 2wd std cab truck, and so far, I am very happy with it. It's old (2001), but in great shape...no rot, 100K miles, and most every option that was available...and no payment!!
It's not perfect though, it has a bad plenum gasket, and a few little things that need some attention, mostly just maintenance items, but what do you expect for an 11 year old truck... So that is how I found this place.
Hope to learn a bit, contribute what I can, and make some friends in the process.
I tend to say what is on my mind, so if I manage to **** you off... let me apologize in advance - I don't mean anything by it, and would generally give you the shirt off my back if you needed it, I just come across as a little "rough" at times...but I'm working on it...

Thanks Country.... I've been just browsing the board for about the last 2 weeks or so.... taking in as much as I could. I do like the board... seems like a pretty good group here, so maybe I'll hang out a bit more.
