I have a 98 Intrepid in impeccable shape and love the car. It has a 3.2L motor which has served me very well. My last car was a buick lesabre and the Intrepid is far far superior in quality of motor, interior and ride. Last winter the intrepid was starting rough when warm or cold (especially when pointed uphill). It will start immediately but idle rough until i give it gas and rev it up. After five to ten seconds it corrects and always runs smooth as silk on the road... The problem disappeared and I thought how great.. the car fixes itself.. but within the last week the problem has come back... there is no check engine light on so my mechanic says he cant do anything.. . I am in Canada and up here the car is a Chrysler Intrepid.. same car.. different name.. My car has about 140,000 miles on it.. (235,000 kilometers) .. most people would say junk it.. i say i can get another 100,000 miles out of it easy... I am new to the forum and appreciate any help you guys might offer.
