2001 RAM 1500 5.2 46RE p1740
SHIFTS fine 1,2,3, but at 45-50 no down shift. changed fluid no metal or chunks of any sort. Just the norm thin smear on magnet. tps tested fine cable ajusted od swich on colum is operating takeing it out of and into od no problem fluid isnt overheating and level is good and not leaking. wireing inside trans. looks in good shape no isulation missing. ive had two 46rh for a total 10 years and this re sucks. Please sum one help!!!!!!

 

ive read all the 46re theads there are so please dont tell me to use the search box. need sum one with some insite on this dam electric trans. o how i wish i kept my 95 2500!!!

 

sounds like the od shift solenoid could be bad, or the tv cable is out of adjustment. where abouts in NH are ya?

 

you should try posting in the 2nd gen section of the forum, might get more responses that way.

 

ya i couldnt figer out how to move this over to the 2nd gen forum. the tv is good and the od solenoid was a thout i had been pondering. im in meredith and dont have a garage or shop. dont trust any one more than myself to put a wrench to my truck i just dont want to keep droppin the pan on a dirt and snow coverd driveway in 10 deg. weather tryin to get the best insite to dig in one more time and have it fixed
