First off this is my first post/thread ever on any forum so flame if you must, but all i need is some advice. I will be purchasing a dodge soon. It has come down to a 2003 Dakota club cab 3.9 v6 with 112,000 miles, manual trans and a 2002 Dodge ram 1500 reg cab 4.7 v8 with 97,000 miles, manual trans. Both have 4wd and condition is similar. I am looking to see which will be the better all around vehicle and which will last the longest. I do not tow anything on a reg basis nor will I be using the bed for hauling anything on a reg basis. I will be using the vehicle mostly for driving to and from work which consists of 10 miles both ways of highway. I do enjoy off roading and will prob be taking which ever truck on some off roading adventures. Give me your thoughts people. Thanks in advance.

The Ram gets my vote. They both get pretty much the same MPG's.

 

Us? Flame??? None of that on this forum .....Go for the Ram. There is hardly any difference mileage wise, but a world of difference performance wise and aftermarket support wise. Welcome to DF!
