Thumbs up ADVICE NEEDED! Dodge Okanagan vs Ford E-150

Good afternoon,

My partner and I are looking to buy a camper van for a road trip from Edmonton down the west USA coast. We have a fairly limited budget and after much research have narrowed our search down to be between the Dodge Okanagan and Ford E-150. Most of our searches within our budget falls on vans made between 1978 - 1994.

There'll obviously may be some biased Dodge owners on this forum, but any unbiased advice or past experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much.

Tom

Did you have any specific candidates in mind?

Basically, you are looking at used vehicles. Some of them apparently rather old. With age, comes problems. Things simply wear out. On the newer engines, the dodge manifolds offer issues all their own.

Post links to some vehicles you are considering, and folks can probably offer some fairly sound advice.

Thanks very much for your help. As we only have a limited budget, we are expecting the vehicle to be fairly old, but trying to eliminate the options that may come with the most number of problems!

Here are links to the two we are most interested in. We are currently contacting the sellers to try and find out some more info as not a lot is provided with the add...
