Default 95 dodge ram 1500 4wd whining noise when accelerating

My truck makes a loud whining noise whenever I press on the gas. It's coming from somewhere near the front of the vehicle I believe. Also my 4wd won't engage. Idk if that could be related in any way but I figured I would throw It out there. Any suggestions?

Will it make the noise in neutral?

4x4 is probably vacuum related. Having troubles with your vents switching to defrost when you step hard on the gas?

Post up in the 2nd gen ram section. Lots of folks will help ya there.

Problems with vents switching to defrost? And no, it only makes the noise if it in gear. Sounds like a vehicle sounds when driven in reverse. I was thinking about my torque converter although I hope I'm wrong. And thanks for the tip. I just registered yesterday so I wasn't sure where to post this. Lol
