let me start by saying hi to everyone. my name is cathy and i live in flint Michigan. i own a pt and a ram 1500. my son just got a 91 stealth and has been fixing it up. which why i'm on here to see if i can find info and advice on some problem he's having with it. first of what are the engine codes for a 91 stealth or is there a free vin decoder so i can find out what engine the car was built with. thank you and hope to hear from you all soon and have a merry Christmas!

Hi Cathy! Welcome to DF!

You can call your local dodge dealer, and get a build sheet from them. Just need the VIN. That will tell you EVERYTHING your vehicles came with from the factory, right down to tire size. There is also a link to request a build sheet via email on the dodge web site. (might have to poke around some to find it. )

thanks i'll check that out. the reason i want to know is the stealth's motor has been changed we know for a fact. but theres some unhooked wires and no where to hook them so i was wondering if the org. engine was a turbo and the one in it now isnt.

Previous owner may have removed some of the emissions equipment as well. Get a build sheet, see what it has to say.
