Smile New Dodge Luvr from the south

Hello Dodge enthusiasts...........nice forum......I've viewed many .....and joined 1 or 2 over the years on various topics. I usually have a little trouble navigating on things....(its a generarational thing I think LoL). I have to say to the creators and /or moderators.......very nice job. !!!!!!!

About me.......sorta middle aged ..not old.....not as young as I once was. Spent my entire life as a hardcore GM guy......... have probably owned 25-30 GMs of all makes....loved Pontiacs and they're gone..... had some Olds and they're gone. Many Chevys and GMCs. And I still love my GMs (hope you guys are as diverse as your rules say LOL).

I have never owned a Ford and I guess the reason is I test drove a nice 5.0 mustang in the 80s and was convinced I wanted one ....it was used with about 6000 miles on it and I got about five miles from the dealership and the motor locked up.....enough said although I married a Ford woman and see one in my driveway all the time.

So what brings me to the Dodge forum? In 2001 I bought a 2000 Dodge Ram Sport with the 360 several nice mods done to it already. And if I'm honest ...it was the best running ...sounding....and looking truck I ever owned..I loved it......but it was the absolute worst on gas mileage no matter how you drove it. So beautiful....I payed for it anyway...LoL.....My fuel pump went out from working so hard all the time ....I put it in the shop and the mechanic got drunk and went joyriding and destroyed my Big Black Dodge..He told the police that he could not resist the temptation ...it was just too beautiful and sounded too good to resist....and I am 100% serious.

Well I had been buying 3 tankfuls of gas a week and it was killing me so it got replaced with a GMC getting about 23 mpg hwy and 20 city on a v8.

The other day I bartered items I had laying around for an 87 ramcharger (2wd .....)I have basically nothing in this vehicle and it has the 360 in it. It was a 2nd owner who didn't have it long but put lots of new parts and couldn't afford the gas. I love this thing and since its not my everyday driver.... I am Pumped about it I can't wait to get that 360thunder sound back into my neighborhood! Hope I can fit into the forum with you guys......

"That's so powerful sounding.....what's in that Dodge?..,............."

Welcome to DF! We have a section just for you. If it isn't real active, you can probably get info from the first gen ram section as well. Same drivetrain.
