Default new to the forums

just wanted to say hi. i own a 92 stealth tt. i know it's not really a dodge. lol. in any case, i'm actually here for my friend. he doesn't have internet access (lives in the boonies). he's received a 97 intrepid "sport" and is looking for ways to upgrade it. i'd appreciate it if anyone could point me in the right direction. we're looking for bolt on stuff right now. he's already got new rims and tires (17's). it does have nice pull with the 3.5 motor, but it could use help in the handling department. does anyone make any coilover kits for the intrepid platform? i know intrax makes lowering springs, but i haven't found anything else. also, a rear strut bar would be cool. thanks everyone!

Try lowering it some of course. I'd look to see if Eibach makes a lowering kit for the Intrepid. I do believe they do.
You could also add in a CAI (Cold Air Induction) kit if they make it. It will help with the car breathing and running better.

Unfortunately, this car was never designed to even be anything remotely near a performance car and as such, not much was made for it. Other then maybe some lowering springs or coilovers, and some different shocks and aftermarket braking components....you may be looking at fabrication for anything major.

thanks!

i think we're going to end up having to fabricate a rear strut bar. do you know of a brake kit that would work on it? i do think that there are CAI kits, but none worth buying. the piping is short and they want too much for something we could make ourselves.

thanks for the welcome it looks like there aren't any mods we can do to the intrepid unless it's custom... i was hoping for a few bolt ons at least. oh well, guess it's time to pull out the welder

Welcome to the site!! We have plenty of Stealth owners here, so stick around and be an active member of our community.

Have you tried looking on eBay for performance stuff for the Interpid?
