Default 95' a670 3-speed has drive in all gears.

My 95' A670 3-speed transmission has drive in all gears including park, reverse and neutral. I just put a full rebuild kit (minus valve body) in it and I am pretty sure I adjusted everything to the specs necessary. There was a decent amount of metal in the pan when I took it apart. It was from the clutches being completely gone and rings rubbing together. Not sure what's going on.

Something is bunged up in the shift linkage, either externally, or internally..... if everything on the outside looks good, time to drop the pan, and have a look.

Welcome to DF!

Thanks!
Took off the pan last night linkage looks good. I'm think perhaps the forward gear cluster piston is not working properly possible stuck??

Probably wouldn't hurt to post up in the forum appropriate for what it is you are driving. Someone there may have more of a clue for your specific trans.

I would wonder if something in the trans wasn't binding......
