Default New To the Dodge Truck Scene

Whats up everyone. After owning a few VW's, a Mazda pick-up and a few Rangers. I am now a Dakota driver. Thought I would stop in and say hi. Figure I will have lots of questions as I know nothing about Dodge's. Just purchased a 1998 Dodge Dakota with the Magnum V6, and 5-speed tranny and about 37,000 miles. So far enjoying it. Has a bit of a ping, but i will try a higher octane gas see if that helps.

I found the truck at one of the local Chrysler Dealerships. It was an ex-lease. The guy leased it for 5 years with the 2 year extension after. Still has the new car smell inside of it. Wish it was a 4x4, but couldnt pass up this deal.

Congrats on the truck. 37,000 is great mileage for a 98. Must have been an old man driving it. You'll come to love the Daks. They're awesome vehicles.
