Waiting on my '04 Dakota...
Hello all. My name is Jeff. I'm stationed in Kodiak, Alaska with the Coast Guard. I own a '01 Ram 1500 Quad and have just ordered an '04 Dakota Quad.
I have lots of questions about what upgrades I should do first. Eventually, I'd like to lift it a bit and open her up but I'm not sur what the best products are or where to get them at the best prices. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

RE: Waiting on my '04 Dakota...
Hey JimBob,
Sorry I wasn't able to get back to you until now. Been out of town since last Saturday (the 10th). "Why the Dakota?" you ask? Well, it really comes down to needing/wanting more room....in the garage, that is. I love the Ram but it only just barely fits between the work bench and the garage door. Don't even think about trying to get anything out of the freezer unless you have keys to move the truck...kinda of a pain. Besides, who wouldn't want a new truck? My wife drives a 2000 Durango and I've always liked the way it feels. Better road manners than my Ram, that's for sure. So, I've finally made up my mind to sell the old girl (which I dearly love...) and move on. If you know anyone who might be interested, you can read all the gorey details in the classified section on this website.
By the way, the Ram was the first black truck I've ever owned. I'm with you, black trucks are pretty and this one looks really beautiful after a bath and some wax but the very minute I pull her out of the garage, she's dirty again. I went with the Graphite Metallic for the Dakota. Its pretty close to the Bright Platinum Metallic on the Durango which hides the perma-dirt much better. Here in Kodiak, that's a must.
Nice talking with you. Enjoy your weekend!
Jeff

Thanks for the welcome! I love the pic of your RoadRunner. I had a (I forget the year...) Satellite Sebring when I was in High School that had the exact same front end as your RR. When I saw your pic last week, it took me back. I want to say mine was a '71 or '72 but I'm not sure. I had big plans for that car. Unmfortunately, my dreams were bigger than my wallet... ah, youth...it's wasted on the young...
Have a great weekend!
