Cool Hello Yall

Im new here. I'm Max, have a Dodge 1997 Grand Caravan, LE, 3.8, now over 170k miles. Runs good for an old fart... kinda like me, lol. It has gone many long hard miles since purchased in Omaha, drove to Vegas & then W. Texas & back... without a hitch!!! Strong eng. with lots of torque & pwr.

Recently developed a rear hatch/liftgate problem.
1) Rear tailgate was opening off & on by playing with the electric unlock button. Now won't unlk at all! I hear the actuator trying to unlock it, but wont. Solenoid moves little
2) Via these threads, I've gotten rear gate OPEN & panel off, exposing the locking device & links, not sure what to do from here.
3) The handle is free moving, not attached to anything.

Any ideas from anybody what to do to repair or replace???

Welcome to DF!

Post your tech questions in the caravan section, as popular as they are, I doubt you are the first to encounter that.
