Default hi

Hi I'm Al,

I just bought a used 2008 dodge avenger awd r/t. I needed it for the winter region I now live in mainly, and for better freeway driving compared to my old scion xb.
Good to be here.

Al

Hi!
I'm in western Massachusetts. Yeah this avenger was top of the line...in 08 anyway. I really like the car. Looks great, the last owner took good care of it, but at low speeds the transmission is a little jerky. Not sure if that is something to worry about.
How bout you? Where you at? What kind if dodge do you have? Cheers, Al

Extreme southern Michigan here. Yep, we can occasionally get some rather extreme winters. This last winter was downright mild. I think I used about HALF the propane I did the previous year.....

I have the 96 2500 in my sig. Awesome winter truck. There is no such thing as "snowed in" for me.

Michigan huh? Tough winters there sometimes I hear. American trucks are pretty reliable. Must be if your 96 is still rollin'
This avenger seems fine but the jerky transmission has me a little worried. Not sure if should have it serviced just in case. Not sure why the shifting at low speeds is a little rough. You ever run into that sort of problem?

Winter is rather unpredictable here...... three or four years ago, we had a HARD winter, and we had three feet of snow on the roads..... I was one of the very few in my neighborhood that could actually get out. (I spent the day helping my neighbors get back home. ) So, I spent money on 'snow removal solutions' that required less back-breaking labor...... Had the tractor/snowblower in the garage, all ready for the heavy storms we were 'supposed' to get..... and I never even bothered to start the tractor all winter...... We would get a couple inches of snow, and the next day would be warm enough that it would be all gone by noon. Ah well. At least I am prepared for if we ever get another hard winter.

No experience with the Avenger trans, but, if you don't think it is shifting right, getting it checked before it becomes a serious problem is a good idea.
