1996 Dakota
Hello everyone, my name need not be said so I won't, I'm from Oklahoma born and raised and come from several generations of grease monkeys, gear heads, and hot rodders, that's black finger for you mad max fans. My current pain in the back but damn good little truck is a 1996 Dodge Dakota SLT RWD v6 3.9l magnum mated to a 42-re 4 speed automatic, she's limping a bit right now but I've pretty well got it narrowed down through process of elimination and a couple visits to the code reader. Originally bought her for 600$ and by now I've gotten 1200$ out of her but she still runs strong so I'll keep fixing her til she can't be fixed no more. Over the last couple years that I've had her I've been through two sets of plugs, an oil filter, oil pressure sending unit, air inlet valve, a new radiator cap and soon to be a new torque converter and fuel pump. The way I figure it the originals lasted 21+ years so this should make it ready for another 21 or so.
