Recently purchased a used 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 w 4x4, its new to me. The vin decoder was helpful. as the truck cane as is w/o information. only a salvage title.
trying to find out more info beside carfax, and what the seller told me.

Thanks for the invite. My next question is Where's the Stinking OBD connector,? I have looked for it and its not where its supposed to be. I have looked on the drivers side , I'm about to look on the passengers side. the lower dash is torn of down to bare metal, and No OBD in site. There is however something call a code master, but has a 4 pin output. I dont know if this is where moggedto OBD used to be. And dash is displaying a check engine light, so I cant get it smogged to complete my registration.

Wonder if the previous owner modified it... OBD port should be right below the steering column, under the dash. Gotta look up under there to see it.
