Default Shocks 08 Ram 2500 W/trx4 package

Hello to all,

I am new to Ram trucks having owned Chevys in the past I thought I would buy a Dodge this time. 3 years ago I bought a extremely clean 2008 Ram 2500 ST 5.7L quad cab with the trx4 Package. I love the truck wish I had tried Dodge sooner.

That being said, I had a seriously freighting event taking a curve @ 70mph. I hit a pot hole in the road, not a very big one, and experienced what I later found out is called a "DEATH WOBBLE" I was in the far left lane on a four lane highway and finally regained control and found myself almost going into the guard rail 3 lanes to my right.

I wanted to install the Dynatrac Hub Conversion kit anyway so I decided to rebuild the entire front suspension and get ball joints and tie rod ends and so on with greaseable parts. What an Idea!!!

I have, however, hit a dead end when it comes to Shocks for the front because of the TRX4 package. Dodge provided me with a part number "05134155AC" and then told me he couldn't get them. They have been "Discontinued". I have been tiring to find the spec's for them and have had no luck. I have tried to find a cross reference for that part number and again have had no luck. I cant be the first to have encountered this problem so can some one point me in the right direction?

Just get some good brand name shocks, the appropriate size, and call it a day. Bilstien, Gabriel, etc.
