Bought a 96 Dodge Larado 2500 4 wd drive, with the V10 and 5 speed. 106K. Needed an upgrade from my 89 Ford f250. Very good shape, well maintained, except for the AC. Said it needs recharging, but I'll need to convert to R134a. Hoping to find info on parts needed and process, and pick up additional info as the need arises. Thanks!

The 96 should already BE R134s refrigerant. Check the label for the a/c system on the radiator support. That will tell you definitively what ya got.

Think I would leak check it before spending the bucks on the refrigerant.... that stuff ain't cheap.

I just checked the info on that year truck, you're right, it's R134. My brother told me it was R12, but he always took it to a mechanic for his repairs and maint. work thanks for the heads up! R 134 I've got, And I will leak test before charging.
