New Guy Checking In
Hello everybody
I have an 02 Dakota, my 2nd ever Dodge. The 1st was a 1995 Dakota, and both trucks have/had the 6cyl, currently the 3.9L.
I’m not much of a mechanic myself but I’ve always tried to upgrade parts over the years when having work done on my truck. After having dumped a pile of money into my 02, I let it sit for about 2 years(!) and am just now getting it road ready again.
i have some questions of course but will wait and post them in the appropriate places around the forum.
Oh yeah, to fill in the blanks, my 02 3.9L has an extended cab. It’s 4WD with a 5 speed manual transmission. The clear coat and original black paint has baked off to one degree or another, as some of the older trucks do- so it has killer *patina* !!!

Other than that (and having sat for 2 years), it’s in really good overall condition, mechanically. I’m actually stoked to get it going again and I hope/plan to put it to more use than ever before.
