My name is Tyler, I have a 2000 dodge durango slt it has the 4.7l v8. I've looked everywhere for advice, and figured this would be a good place to go. I'm interested in beefing up my engine and tranny, I know head gaskets are a common issue, so will be replacing those soon. I've also heard of horror stories of rods going through blocks, but being fairly inexperienced, don't know what to do about that. I've torn down engines, as it was part of my job at a scrap yard, but never rebuilt anything but a small chainsaw engine. Anything you can recommend or educate me with will be great, thanks for your time.
