2003 Durango

Hi,
Just picked up a 2003 Durango. First time Durango owner, looking forward to it. Clean truck, 164k miles, appears to have been well maintained. Very little rust, (and here that's key). Few minor issues, like all windows work but only from the drivers door, needs a spare tire carrier, a/c needs diagnosing, (has a new compressor). I've got a major list of "want to do's", and a minor list of "need to do's". Either way, have enjoyed it so far (not yet a week, but like the feel while driving). Retired a 1984 Chevy Blazer 4WD with about 200k. It wouldn't pass inspection due to frame rust. Before that, an F250, a 1500, and the most beloved 98 Expedition with over 300K.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks! Appreciate it! Was on a couple of other forums for years so I WILL be looking for knowledge from time to time.

Default Congrats and hello!

Congrats on your new ride! Great choice! Our first Durango was 2002, I loved it! We now have a 2005 and I'm currently working on convincing hubby that we need a newer one, Lol! We also still have a 2002 Expedition, so I feel you on your love there too. We have 5 kiddos and deliver and install audio/video equipment for our business, so a minivan is our daily driver , but my heart lies with the Durango and my 02 was my fave! Welcome and congrats, I know you will love it!

Thanks Franklin59226! The Expedition really is still my wife's first choice. Seeing as how we now live up in the mountains of PA, I'd much rather have something like the "Brodozer" or "Bigfoot", but then that's a story for another day. On another note, I've had it about a week now and have found a few things I'm not quite appreciating, from the dealer though, not the truck. Like the power windows don't work from their respective buttons, only from the drivers door, and the dealer told me they replaced the ball joint on the drivers side. I had a chance to really get under and look what I found! I do still love the truck though. It just has that solid, safe feeling ride I miss from the Expedition. Good Luck on that new one!
