Default New Guy Here

Hey all, just purchased a 2004 dodge ram 1500 with 5.7 hemi. Runs good as far as I can tell. Does have an issue with the oil pressure dropping and the check gages light coming on. Anyone familiar with this? Is it major? Here's a picture of the truck. In decent shape overall it will be used as a work truck

Welcome to DF!

If pressure just drops to zero at stops, but, picks right back up with even the slightest amount of gas, probably just the sensor failing. Not an uncommon problem.

Check out the Third Gen Ram section.

thanks, eases my mind a little bit. It's that annoying ding for the check gages every time I stop that really gets me. I'll check out the 3rd gen section thanks
