old, but a new member
Hi, and good morning to everyone. My name is Andy and it took me until I was 60 to own my first truck.
Used, paid 1k, for it, a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.2L engine, not to beat up, dash is almost gone, but looks good enough for me.
Problem from purchase was a fluttering, hesitation, lack of fuel, or electrical interruption, regardless the truck runs and does it with issues at times, not a safe vehicle for my grandson to ride in. Heck I do not like it stalling at lights or upgrades.
I will keep at it, many parts have been replaced and sensors, right now looking at a worn PCM possibly, but a few more test before I go there.
I trouble shooting was what I enjoyed in the younger years, now retired AF, so if manual is good and correct I hope to figure this out and enjoy a truck finally.
