New to the forum 2008 Dakota
Hello everyone. Just joined the forums to gather some info, suggestions and guidance to get my truck "up to speed". I currently own a 2008 Dodge Dakota 4x4 Laramie Quad Cab v8. I acquired the truck recently, and already have a list of repairs in queue.
I'm located in Durham, NC
My truck is sort of an “oddball" model. It is a late 2008 (Built 6/08), Laramie with almost every option ticked except the sunroof, 4-wheel ABS and the nav.It also has a color that was not available in 2008 per the Sales Brochure, Deep Ocean Blue Pearl. That color started availability in 2009. The truck was built and was purchased originally as a “fleet" vehicle for the Chrysler Company in Auburn Hills, MI. It was moved to the south in 2011, so the rust was not an issue for it. The frame and underneath are solid. Paint is good, but it has some bubbling starting out in the upper part of the rear wheel well lip in both sides, (That's all the rust I could find, and it hasn't got through the metal yet as far as I know).
The rust repair, re-upholster the driver seat bottom cushion and a constant ABS/ Brake light combo are the things to repair for now.
Thanks
