I'm new here. My name is Christopher and i currently in the middle of purchasing a Grand voyagerSXT. "gettting a great car." I'm being reassured by the seller. Yep, getting a great car that so far has done nothing but hinder my progress of bringing my life up. Currently the van is in county impound yard. Why? Good Question. Here are the reasons. I was in search of a vehicle and this came along from someone where I work. just remember im getting a GREAT CAR!! He just put a new motor in it, yet hasn't started it cause he fired the mechanic. Needs a hose put on then it can start. I bring my Mechanic and he spends 5 hours wotking on it and still not able to start it because the New Battery is dead. You have to let it idle for three hours due that it hasn't been started since the hose was not on, he tells me.Let it idle for three hours ans then change oil, filter and I have them in the back he says.moving on, I take a charged battery and it started right away. Yipee, cool it runs. Maybe this is a good deal im thinking. Why three hours. From what i know is that there is a 500 mile break in period. anyways. I dont get 5mmiles and the oil light comes on. There's the first issue.So i baby tis thing over to where i can change the oil. Oil drain plug opn so tight that not even an impact ratchet can get it off. that's the 2nd issue and leads to the third, Oil filter takes two screwdrivers puncde through just to take it off. Nope don't want the car now. See the guy at work and tell him the issue and he does nothing to help me out. I don't have money to throw at this thing. I am getting a great caw. 1500. for this and he is taking a huge loss. He explains that he put over two thousand in the front end steering and 2000 into the motor. He is letting me pay him every oother week till the 1500 is paid off. issue four is now check engine light is on.. I tell him tha i just want to back out at trhis point because it is brecoming a headache to me.fifth issue 30 in gas and this van starts sputtering and spitting, then stopped and was able to get home.two days later im on my first day off and i put 45 into the gas tank issue 6 this ____ van starts sputtering and smoking like Cheeh and Chong. I get the .25 mile to my work place and it looks like the fog of london has set in . Parking lot covered , literraly covered in smoke.I no longer want this van here are the rest of the reasons. 7, go 55 hit brakes and the front end feels like it will shake off the van. I spend 250.00 for twoo tires and alignment. Shaking continues to get worse after that. I flat out asked him if it was in an accident. NOPE, your gettin a grate caw.. List of issues 1. dead battery 2 cant change oil. 3 filter to tight .4 check engine light. 5 Gas and smoke. 6 new motor with old hoses. 7 heater bypassed. 8 no A/c 9 new mopar pwood screws to hold passenger headlight 10 body lines not matching up. Wrecked??? Im not a happy person but Im getting a great car. Theer reason it's in impound is because i did not have title to transfer in to my name and tags are expired. On Saturday the 23rd, im just wanting to go to work , give him his POS and get my1000. back. didn't make it about 15 minutes away from work, i here a pop, transmission does a hard shift, BANG then the temp pegs HOT, and then the motor cuts off. cops towed it and it now sits in impound with all my tools and other things. No way for me to get it out because im not the reg. owner. neither is he from what the title says. He says i bought the car and he wants his money.. I need help finding a vehicle report as i do not have the money to pay for one. Im struggling to get back on my feet.If anyone can assist me with this I would greatly appreciate it. I seem to just getting nowhere . when i put the vin in i get sent to auction pics , 36 different itemms relating to this van , oh and i think it used to be blue. VIN # 2DGP44L55R122777. You are buying a money pit. Give it back, take the loss, look for something else.
