Hello from Germany
Hey guys, my name is Gerrit, I'm from Germany and a proud owner of a 2018 Challenger RT, 5.7. Those cars are not very common here, that's why the community is quite small and I decided to register here.
But how did I end up getting a Challenger? So me and my girlfriend at that time went to California in 2016 for a vacation. I rented a car beforehand at Alamo, just went for the cheapest option, would have been a small Kia. Arriving there the clerk told us for 200$ we could get a "sporty upgrade", that would have been either a Challi, a Mustang or a Camaro. We couldn't choose which of those. We thought it's a good deal and went for it. I was hoping for the Mustang as it's quite the American Muscle car. Unfortunately we got the Challenger, as a V6. We drove it for 16 days and boy, did I like it. The look of it, the interior, it pretty much was perfect. I liked it so much, that I decided I have to get one, but as a V8 for sound and feeling. Even if it's a bit of a pain to drive them here as we don't have dealers and you have to look a bit longer for parts. That's pretty much the reason why I registered here.
However, hope you don't mind if my English is a bit bumpy here and there.

You aren't the only European we have here, and so far, your english is better than some of our native speakers.
Welcome to DF! Post any questions/issues you have in the Challenger section, and folks there will be more'n happy to help you out.
My first "Car" was a 72 Challenger, with the 340, and pistol grip 4 speed. I LOVED that car. The new ones look very similar, which I believe was a good choice from Dodge. I also note that the latest gen camaro's look a LOT like the early models. Ah, ain't nostalgia great?
(my first vehicle was a 72 Honda CB350..... as the price was right.

Welcome to the group. Definitely a good choice with the challenger. I feel Dodge messed up in their marketing, giving the charger the 4door configuration, being as the charger was the more well known sports car, however it goes back to the beginning, Ford always had a better marketing team
. However Mopar built the only car ever banned from NASCAR for being to good, so that's a nice pocket ace to pull out when you need it, probably what started the downfall of true stock car racing too.
