Ford man begins conversion to dodge
I was raised a Ford Man and still have the first truck I had in highschool (91) which is a 64 Ford Shortbed. However I went out to test drive the new 06 Mustangs (happy they went retro) and realized they had spent all their development monies on the body and none on the interior or the performance. Even looked at and drove the Roush's and Saleens but the interior always lacked comfort as well as performance. Well as fate would have it The Ford dealership was next to a Dodge dealership and my wife pointed out a Charger. I drove an RT and for the first time found a car that seemed as if made for me! So after beating the dealer down to 33K OTD and a deal on 20" rims shoed w/Toyo tires I drove the baby home.
I don't care about the arguments about the 4 doors, and Dodge leaving their roots by going that route. All I care about is I have a car that performs as good as it looks, sounds as good as it performs, and comfortablly seats me, the misses , and a couple of friends. The key word being comfortable. The only other car I have ever liked this much was my BMW 840 and that was a rocket (though took allot of maintenance). I am not still comepletely convinced that Dodge has worked out all of it's kinks but I am willing to give them a shot beause of the 06 Charger RT. I will post some pics soon especially as I begin the customizing.

Congratulations on the new Dodge... and for joining Dodge after being a Ford fan for so long.
I hope you'll continue converting...

I appreciate all the welcomes! Does anyone have any pics or URL's with Pics of paimt schemes fro the Charger? I saw a few on SEMA's site but nothing too eye catching. I put 20's on it and am having it lowered 1.5" I will post some pics. My plans are to do some speed mods and maybe a scoop too along with some paint. I will definitely keep checking out the Charger forum and I really appreciate any advice you guys can give to further my conversion. Thanks again.

Ed,
Welcome to DF. This is the place to come for getting ideas, checking out other peoples rides, asking questions and sharing knowledge. Lots of good people here. Glad to have you aboard.
Congrats on the Charger. Glad you like it. We're all looking forward to pics and progress pics of your mods. Eventually you will probably find your answers in the Charger forum. Some of us are a little slow, myself just coming off a 5 day migraine bender.
