I've been lurking here for a bit and decided to join. I am planning on getting a 2005 Dakota when they come out. I had a '95 Dakota Sport and traded it a couple years ago for a Ford Escape....biggest mistake I ever made! So.....I'm going back to a Dakota

I'm probably going with black (hard to keep clean but I like the look). I"m leaning towards the 4.7L V-8. I'm just trying to decide if I want 4WD or not. If I go 2WD I'll prolly get the HO V-8 .

Welcome! Normally I'd say go with the HO V-8 and 2X4 but I went off-roading with some friends and it was a blast, so the 4X4 could be a lot of fun too. Keep us informed on what you decide to do.
