Hello, all!
I'm new to DF, but I'm not new to Dodge and Chrysler products. I recently lost a 1996 Stratus. My son was hit twice within three months, first from the rear and then from the front. We finally had to total it. It was a great car.
And I recently had to part with my old 1977 Aspen. It's still being driven, though, and the old Slant 6 will probably run for another 150,000 miles, if the body holds together.
Currently I'm driving a 1988 Dodge Caravan, with the 3-litre engine, and my wife has a 1988 Chrysler LeBaron.
Love Dodges!

The Aspen was Dodge's pre-K-car of the 1970s. It had the incomparable 225ci slant-6 engine, that never quit. The 1970s steel didn't fare so well. I bought it in December of 1985, with only 4400 miles on it. It had belonged to an older couple, and had never been driven much. It served my family well over the 16 years I drove it. What an engine and transmission!
If I had access to more storage, it would still be one of my cars. But it's now serving someone else's needs. And if he changes the oil regularly, that engine will last another 100,000 miles or more.
I take it you're a lot younger than I am. I'm watching 50 disappear in my rear-view mirror. And I think I can see 60 off in the distance.
Talk to you later.

Thanks for the welcome!
My '77 Aspen spent its garage time prior to 1985. It worked regularly from December of 1985 until I parted with it in November of 2001. And as of 9 months ago, it was still running.
I'm looking for the next Dodge product that will perform as well over the long haul.
Hasta.
