Default dodge st. regis

Hello, i am very new to forums as well as the dodge family. I just acquired a 81' Dodge St. Regis Pillard Hardtop 4 dr. I don't know what I have on my hands. I know nothing (history) about the car except it only had 2 owners, and it might be a classic. How can I get more information? or is there anyone of any expertise on this forum? Please respond if you have any words of wisdom. Thanx

Welcome. I'm affraid I don't know too much about the St. Regis, other than I don't see them very often. I'll see what I can dig up on it though.

Take some pics!! It's been YEARS since I heard of the St Regis... but wasn't that a 'version' of the NeYorker? Aren't they the same car? I'm not sure anymore... I was born in 1980, so, I didn't have a good handle on cars for about another 7 years... LOL!

St. Regis was on the same platform as the Magnum and Charger SE, it was just a four door like the New Yorker, Newport, etc...

Oooh, I see... Does anyone have pictures of one? I looked online, found lots from the 50's, but not many from the late 70-80's.

I'm currently out of town for the holidays and unable to post a picture. I will not be able to do so until January 5th. However, the little that I know is it was mainly used as a police car in the late 70's and early 80's. In 79'- 19000 were made, 80'- 7000 were made, and in 81' - only 2000 were made. This was after days of research. I would like to know if I have something special on my hands?

I also found the information on it being a Squad Car... that's awesome!! Considering very very few were made of the year you have... I'd say yes sir, you have something special. Of course, not all of the 2000 made that year are still around, so it's even less than that!! Wow... I can't wait to see a picture of it. I'm still poking for information, I'll get back to ya'll if I find anything else new.
