Your 2.5" should be fine if you are running 10psi, bumping up to 3" obviously wouldn't hurt as it is less restrictive. I guess one thing you left out is what size turbo is it? That can make a difference

i'd say your fine, you might pick up little with the 3inch, but gain noise, if its just a streeter leave the 2.5 & make sure you have a highflow cat & straight thru muffler

I've heard that you pick up HP with larger exhaust ,but lose torque. I'd say stick with stock. " TORQUE IS GOOD"

Turbos run best with larger exhaust after the turbo, as far as naturally aspirated, you exhaust should be tuned for your car. Rule of thumb with NA exhaust you want low pressure but high velocity exhaust stream, this creates a bernoulli effect and allows your exhaust to be scavenged better from the cylinder. Where as you have a 3" exhaust on a stock 4 banger, youll loose power because your exhaust stream isnt moving fast, so your exhaust scavanging is just relied upon by your cylinder blowing it out.
