Originally, yes.... but not now. Grew up in upstate, left when the economy started going south in the mid '80's.

Where upstate - I'm from Roxbury,NY.

Economy is touch - was NH any better though?

I'm in southern NH, but I work in Mass. Economy was MUCH better here... still is! Makes the cost of housing a lot higher than upstate NY, though. Grew up in a little berg called Richfield Springs- probably the closest town to it that anyone's heard of would be Cooperstown. Went to school at Syracuse, worked and lived in both Rome and the Binghamton area before leaving NY.

I currently reside in NYC - attending school there - nice to get out of the hills but I certainly miss it at times

Wow! You have probably even heard of the town where my Mom currently lives then... Edmeston! Not too many folks outside of central NY have ever heard of Richfield Springs... there certainly isn't much for it to be noted for.

Yep I know Edmeston.....
My Old Cattle trucker is the Judge for that town
and the sale barn that we ran Cattle into was in West edmeston Welch's Livestock market ...
