Mike- you KNOW I'll be there. I've been going since they began in '91, not about to miss one now! Be bringing the 'vert again... have started getting the Hemi ready to pull out of the Charger; as soon as I get my hoist back from my buddy, I'll be pulling it and the rest of the drivetrain to get it all rebuilt. Maybe in 2008?

I wish I could make it but I'll be at the Bloomsburg 4x4 Jamboree. They always schedule them for the same weekend. But ya'll have a good time there and take lots of pics.

Man that would suck if they left!
The only good that could come of this is if the shows move North closer to NY
I highly doubt they would.

The fairgrounds haven't actually been sold yet. And the fight is not over by any means. The town is fully behind Carlisle Productions remaining right where they are, and nothing has been finalized in any direction. Check the Carlisle Productions homepage for the latest update.

I went on Saturday. I picked up two bumpers from Tri-city Plating. I could not believe the prices on stuff for '73 - '74 chargers! Holy cow! Prices really have gone through the roof. Heck, if I ever decied to get rid of my Charger I should do it a piece at a time. I would make about 20 times the money. I just could not get over how much folks were asking for used parts. Anyone else experience the same or was it just me?

Have to agree.... prices were higher than ever, and the quality and selection of parts was poorer. It's simple laws of supply and demand anymore... the available supply of parts is shrinking, while the demand keeps growing. Same with the cars themselves.... rusty 318 powered 71 Barracuda ragtop for 49K?? Clone cars for 100K+??? The show field however, was the best it's ever been.

I think I saw that 'Cuda. And I looked again and again and while I realized I was there at the "butt-crack" of dawn, I was fairly certain I was not having a nightmare. And the Daytona clone (beige) parked just outside the covered area in the corral was about 100k. My wife even mentioned how over the top pricing was on the cars and the parts. And for her to notice car part pricing, well, let's just say that she usually does not notice. But she does remember how much things were the last time we went to Carlisle and she mentioned that if I should ever decide to sell my charger, I should do it a piece at a time. Speaking of the corral, did anyone else notice the shortened green Duster? I thought it was interesting, but I would hate to be the one shifting that car (shifter was between the driver's legs). You hit something head on and someone is gonna lose a *******! [sm=yikesomg.gif]
