Jim, that seemed a little harsh. He was just stating fact, the 05 GTO is suppose to have 400 horse. GM has been very accurate lately mainly because they don't want the embarrassment ford received over the cobra a few years back. So if one wants to be a moderator you must only like dcx products? Shoot I work for them, and I don't like everything they build. But I do like a lot of GM products. The irony here is I don't care much for the new GTO. Sorry Jim I guess your post just rubbed me wrong. Bob, keep posting all your info, its good to know what the competition is up too!
Have to disagree with you. My Trans Am was rated at 325 HP at the fly wheel and dynoed stock at 317 RWHP. My 2004 Rumblebee advertised at 345 HP dynoed at 268 RWHP. I would say GM underrates and Chrysler overrates.
I thought the last of the TA's were rated at 375 HP, which would be right in line with your RWHP dyno number. As has been discussed concerning the Hemi Ram, thtorque converters are a bit inefficient. Several guys have changed to an aftermarket converter and found the missing HP's.
Right, but do you know how many and what mods have been done to them? I think they may have a lower HP rating, but I've read somewhere that the performance numbers would indicate otherwise.
the ones running high 12s either have your basics...exhaust, CAI, shifter..a chip...tires/rims...some havent done any of that, and just have a bottle...
there are a few that run very low 11s, driving in..other than them, im not impressed..
