GM won't be around in 2011, so we won't be seeing it.

I'm not a huge fan of these cars. They're pretty, and the interiors are done nicely, but the fact that VW has had their way with the electrical engineering of the car makes me want to pass.

yeah...one of the biggest employers in the country is just going to up and close its doors in the next 13 months? i think not. worst case scenario is that one of the japanese companies buys GM and runs it in an efficient manner...the same goes for chrysler. to think that they are just going to disappear is foolish. the assets of the company alone are worth the money of those companies that have said money. it might not be owned by american investors, but i dont expect to see GM and Chrysler go anywhere any time soon.

and whats this about VW being involved with the production of the camaro? id be interested in some background on that comment...

Yeah im surprised to hear of gm implementing the use of VW for electrical componenets...? It might be true for this particular model but i'd like to see it stated by a company or magazine article or something.

just the name gm has a lot of monetary value another company could make a truck just like the 1500 or a car just like the camaro but they wouldnt sell as much cause it doesnt have the gm name backing it up. a lot of people trust the gm name and that trust is from many years of great vehicles and great support imho gm wont be goin anywhere soon
