I just got to say if u pull up to a group of girls in a taurus and a 300c u got to say the 300 gonna win. they dont know about turbos an stuff come on grand national was cool for a few years well till the mullet went out of style but if ford is gonna go big they need to bring out the interceptor that is 300c competitor

There have been rumors of an "interceptor" version of the taurus to use for a new police vehicle but if that happens (i dont see police using an awd car) they arent going to be using the ecoboost...ive also heard that the next interceptor wasnt going to be based on the taurus.
ive spent a few hours behind the wheel of an SHO and there is NO QUESTION that its a great car. I enjoyed driving it so much that I put gas in it twice...and handed a kid in a 5.0 fox body his ***. the interior quality of the SHO is luxorious and all of that power, mated to an AWD system and a great paddle shift system is a ton of fun. you can bring the rpms up as much as you can and launch without a hint of tire spin or lag. the paddle shift system is a hundred times better than what chevy has in the camaro...probably the best ive driven.
the downside...the SHO that I had carried a price around 47,000. almost fifty thousand dollars for a taurus? For that price, you have to compare the SHO to the 300C SRT8...and its a very different story. also, the fuel economy is good for a 365hp car...but with 17/25, I know people with 300Cs who get better mileage than that.

The SHO is nice but I really don't see this and the 300c stealing much marketshare from each other. They're a different class of car, and honestly looks-wise the 300 slaughters the Taurus as far as I'm concerned. This isn't to say the Taurus looks bad because it doesn't but the 300c was an absolute home run in the looks department and it still is. Furthermore the SHO should be compared to the SRT8 as both are the high performance models of the line. The 300 has a slightly subdued muscular look and a level of class that the Taurus simply can't match.
