Here what I find of fordtruckworld site, a 6.4 l with a TwinTurbo 30 Psi+ that can developped up to 400 to 500 hp ... if its true htas gonna be a nice diesel but the 610 torque of the cummins will be hard to get !

From what i have heard from my friends over at the ford dealership there is a new powerstroke coming out next year well in 2007, suppose to be a twin turbo pushing 30+ psi in each turbo stock.
-also out of the new Diesel Power magazine ATS Performance is suppose to be coming out with an aftermarked turbos for the 6.0L PSD's soon.
Later yall, Knight Yeah, there has been talk about this for a while now. It's coming out for the '07 model year bored out to a 6.4 with twin turbos and estimated 450-500 hp. The ones released to the public are supposed to be "de-tuned" to an estimated 400-450 hp

BTW, wasn't the 6.5 and 6.2 made by Detroit Diesel? I have heard the new H1s will have the "Duramax."

RE: New Diesel 2007 Ford
Ford definatly does have trouble with one turbo. But i say put in the "B" engine, or put a twin turbo on the 5.9L. And i also agree that it is a fact that the inline 6 is the ideal diesel. I am a pilot and that is tought that you get the best torque from an inline engine. It is basic physics. It doesnt nesisarily matter how many cylinders. heres my points below:
Dodge 5.9L Cummins ( Inline 6 Diesel ) = 325 HP , 610FtLbTq 6CYLINDERS!!!!!
Ford Power Stroke 6.0 L( best one , and still pathetic ) ( V8 Diesel ) = 325 HP , 580FtLbTq V8
Chevy Duramax Diesel 6.6L ( V8 Diesel ) = 325HP , 600FtLbTq V8
My Point Exactly!

RE: New Diesel 2007 Ford
I've been looking into buying a Ford Diesel this December, ONLY because the Dodge is almost double to insure vs. Ford and Chevy. IMHO, if Ford really wanted to attempt to take on Cummins, they need to consider just dumping the PowerStroke and commission Caterpillar or Detroit Diesel to build a diesel for the Fords. Otherwise, Cummins will continue beating all comers with ugly sticks!!

RE: New Diesel 2007 Ford
I don't see how Ford could possibly get a diesel from Detroit Diesel when the situation is Diamler Chrysler owns Detroit Diesel now. I'm thinking there must be a reason why Ford didn't try to get a Caterpiller engine a long time ago. Don't count on it is all I have to say. They seem content with having a diesel that is truely from the bottom of the barrel of diesels.

RE: New Diesel 2007 Ford
Just looking for more info on the 6.4L ford configuration. I had a Ford fan that I work with telling me that the new engine was going to be a V-4. I personnally think his statement is bogus. Could you just imagine the banging and clattering a V-4 would create. Also just imagine the size of those pistons! Cummins are huge right now.
When run CAT diesel in our equipment at the coal mine I work at. CAT makes great "large" diesels, but any small diesel they just can't seem to get it right. For small diesels, Cummins, Detriot, and John Deere all make really good engines.
