Default Volkswagen Polo

I really want one http://www.volkswagen.fr/polo

Why do other countries come out with the cooler versions of newer cars before we do?

It's because most foreign companies build for "target markets" and most of those dont apply to the USA. Alot of these cars are built for smaller roads and cities where roads are narrow one lane streets.....such as London, Prague, Tokyo, Hong Kong.....

Basically, they build to meet the location rather then the customer..... this is not always the case....but with some car companies overseas this is the reasoning they use....

Toureq/Passat/Jetta/Gulf > Your soul

The front end is a bit big, but I like it sort of.

I simply don't like the line up that VW has. So many small cars that look like electic shavers. The Phaeton isn't bad, but its just to damn expensive. There just not my style.

The Phaeton and it's W12 engine, make for one bad *** ride.

W12 - 420 HP and costs $96,600 dollars
V8 - 335 HP 6 and costs $66,700 dollars

It's not so much the engine anyway. It's the style, class, and reliability of the car.

Other than that, I like the Jetta, Taureg and R32.

I just wish DCX would offer a small diesel in cars that would get 50+mpg here in the U.S. That is the only reason I'm considering a Jetta Wagon for my wife.

You could always try to the get the Caliber, with the 2.0 VW diesel w/ 134 hp & 229 ft-lbs of torque.
