Ford May Have Another Viper Killer In 07...
I don't know how old this thing is, but I don't remember seeing it.
Ford needs to build another car on the GT's expensive architecture to offset costs. The Shelby GR-1 would be a perfect successor once the GT goes out of production in 2007. The GR-1 Concept is built from a modified version of the GT's platform. However, instead of a midengine supercharged V8, there's a normally aspirated 6.4-liter V10 with 605 hp riding up front. That should be more than enough for a production GR-1 to run an 11-second quarter-mile and blow right past the magic 200-mph mark.

Umm actually the Viper lost.....and the only test head 2 head I could find that a Viper won in....was an 04 Viper SRT-10 vs. the 05 GT.....and how the GT lost is beyond me....
It was faster at every step from 0-10 all the way to 0-100.....and lost by a .01 second......I seriously cant believe that....
If you are faster 0-10, 0-20, up to 0-100.....by an average of like .03 seconds per 10 mph...you should win hands down..

They were showing this "Viper Killer" on Car and Driver on Spike TV a few months ago. They went of the Dalorian "no paint" look. Sharp looking car for a Ford. Dodge will meet it in the end with something faster, no doubt, like they did with the Ram SRT-10 to the Lightning.
