Spied in Motor Trend Online shows a turbocharged solstice being testdriven in Nurburg Germany for possible production....Where is our razor turbocharged coupe?

 

I think the turbo Geo Metro might give them both a run for the money

the razor will never be made.

as for a turbocharged solstice, i dont think that it will be a production model, seeing as how they already have a supercharged version of the ecotec, i dont know why they would try to produce another form of forced induction for the same motor, unless they intend to switch over to a turbocharged system like mini did for the next generation.

chevy does some crazy stuff...I wouldnt put it past em.

 

The turbo is a go. It will first come on the saturn sky then as a option on a solstice later next year, or early 2007. I have driven one with the turbo.... Lets just say I was throughly impressed!

The turbo Solstice will still never be better than the 400 horsepower V8 version that is in the current issue of C&D or one of the others.

 

where did you get that information? and when/where did you drive one?

 

i am also curious how joe drove one? joe, is this replacing the supercharged version of the ecotec?

either way, im not impressed...

 

I've got friends at the tech center in warren. A friend of mine is a vehicle evaluator and had one about 4 months ago. Remember I only live 5 min from the gm tech center. He brought it by on his lunch.
