The problem with the SSR is that from the get-go it was too underpowered and too costly. Although the execution made it look cool, it's just for the price, people wanted performance. Although GM was awfully late on bringing a convertible truck to market, Dodge had already did it way back in the day. I wish Dodge would have did another convertible on the 97-03 models.....
When did doge have a convertible truck? and what was it called? And are you sure it wasnt a prototype? I dont recall ever seeing or hearing about one.......
They offered one on the Dakota in the late 80's. Early 90's.
As for GM, they already had done a convertible Blazer in the 70's I do believe....hardtop and softtop.
