slant 6
have 66 coronet slant 6 what yr can i go up to on motor that would hook right up with no problems. was told that v 8 might ? also if so what yr would i need and what all would i need to change

only, an other slant 6 will fit your trans. to put a V-8 in you will need to change the cross-member. it is NOT easy. best to hop up the slant 6. but dont put to big of a cam in. look in to seeing how perfect to stock you can get it, that will be fun. which one do you have? where the exhaust comes down at the front, if you can pass your thumb between the manifold and the block casting of the pump casting. then you have a 225. if the manifold all most touches the casting its a 198 or a 170. check out "allpar"
