dodge mirada
i was wondering what rear ends will bolt into a mirada. i know they came with 7.25 and 8.25 rear ends from the factory. im wanting a rear that can be built for 750hp with out spending an arm and a leg. thanks
Stick or auto? You can have dana 60 modded to fit but not exactly cheap. They where used on the hemi cars. Next would be the 9 1/4 they where installed in a lot of vehicles from 1970 to around 2000. You have to match up the spring perch and overall length. Last would be the 8 3/4.
I think the 7.25 is definitely a "no"..... you would grenade that in pretty short order. The 8.25 is a *maybe*.... I could likely be built to withstand the power, but, it would not be inexpensive. I don't think you will find something that will just 'bolt right in', aside from special ordering something. (again, not cheap....) I suspect at the very least, you will need to shuffle mounts around on whatever you get.
Don't know. Get measurements of the axle that is under it at the moment, and then compare those to measurements from any other axle you are considering using.
