Default Dodge Magnum Cluster Fuel Gauge Stuck on Empty

I have a 2005 Dodge Magnum with a fuel gauge stuck on empty. When I connect the vehicle to a scan tool I am able to read the amount of fuel in the tank. The gauge never leaves Empty. Anyone seen this? A local dealer said the cluster is bad, but I talked to 3 different cluster shops and none of them have seen it.

I am not sure if the 05's do this, but it takes nothing to try. You may be able to run a cluster diagnostic by holding the odometer button in while turning (not starting) the car on. If your '05 has this capability, you will see each of the gauges go thru several preset rotations and angles, the vfd display cycle thru each of the segments, and at the end show the version. Worth a try to see if the fuel gauge moves or maybe resets itself. I also have heard of some gauge needles making it past the pin and getting stuck.
