RE: 318 and 360
i have the 360. if u leave it at 2000 rpms on the freeway then ull get 20 plus mpg i mean ur only goin like 63 mph but hey. gas is a bitch
plus saves gas so u can get deeper in the pedal and the city streets. when something like an x-runner thinks theyre badass. like today.
made him realize hes in a toyota reallll quick.
360 all the way. even if ur milage was worse(which it isnt) makes you juss drive around with a big *** grin on ur face

the weblink is not up anymore
but at one time Popular Mechanics had
two surveys...one Ram pickup and one Durango
where several thousand owners had responded
about how those vehicles had done for them.
Both surveys were for several million "owner-miles"
If I remember right the Magnum 5.2 V8 responses from Pop Mech mag
showed 0.75 better MPG than the 5.9 gasoline V8

The only thing that'll make a bigger engine in the same vehicle get worse fuel economy is a heavy foot. Vehicle weight and aerodynamics are the biggest factor in economy. Smaller engines don't do any better in the same vehicle because they have to work harder. In fact, sometimes they do worse; The v-6 magnums and chargers get lower MPG than the Hemi's based on real-world personal accounts.
