A Chevy 440 is news to me. I have read where some take a 400 and punch it out to a 420, 430 or 440 but, of course, that is not a "Chevy" 440, it is a Chevy 400 modified to a 440, which is probably what you have.

I just ran some searches to try to educate myself on this 440 Chevy but came up emtpy. If it did exist it is very rare.

i made sum mistakes when i posted this at 10:30 after my friend came over just to rip on my car......and i had been working on it all day....untill i got a call from year one so they could tell me my order would be late.....it was a bad day.....and since i started this post i only had one question....thanks scg87 for answering it ur the only one......as i said i am new to old cars......i have had no experience with them but i bought one cause i liked it.....i am familiar with new cars.....so i took a look at my car and i was wrong its not a chevy motor.....its mopar and its a 440.....i changed my sig for kicks....so please bak off u are acting like a bunch of 5th graders with this....none of u are pro atdrag .......and im not a pro at working on these old cars

 

ive been in magazines with my car...mopar muscle..mopar collectors guide. maybe you would learn something if you didnt insist that you know everything. im still waiting on how a motor, that you know nothing about, has 500hp.

ok im kinda pissed.....so i dont give a @#$%# that ur car was in a magazine.....i almost forgot that my uncle who is helping me with this ( remember i said i was new to this) has a car sitting in fords building.....they bought his fairlane for a display car.....2 mill....and u can check on that its sitting out inside their main hq.....or mabey its their car museum.....which ever its still there.....so check u #$%# *******
